DC EXHIBITION: Down of Superheroes

Incredible collection of original costumes, comic books, history and film surrounding the incredible DC world. I had the chance to see some of the prop on my visit to Warner Bros studios in LA, but this is a much complete exhibition with costumers from Tim Burton Batman movies and Wonder Woman.

For me who I’m not much of a comic fan, was extraordinary to be able to see the origin of the characters and their importance in the history of USA during times of war and economic crisis. The evolution of each superhero is also extraordary, as well as the film adaptation and how each director had a different angle for each and one of the them.

From Christohper Reed, to Jack Nicolson and Arnold Schwarzenegger costumes, I was especially emotional with Head Ledger joker full costume.

The Exhibition is in London until September, you can book your tickets here: http://dcexhibition.co.uk – For all of those who don’t like in the UK, this is an itinerant exhibition and it may come to your city very soon! Good luck.

90 Oscars – Film Lover Thoughts

What a night! How many of you stayed up all night to watch the ceremony? Believe me, while I write this on my way to work my eyes are itching but… totally worth it! What an incredible night, I must say I loved this edition for its simplicity and how easy going it was. No big surprises of the night, here are my thoughts on the highlights:

The Shape of Water
🎬 Best Movie
📣 Best Director: Guillermo del Toro
🎼 Best Original Music score
✏ Best Production Design
I loved every second of The Shape of Water and I’m not surprised for its all deserved nominations and wins. Guillermo created a unique univers where words are not needed but love and comprehension.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
👵 Best Actress: Frances McDormand
👨 Best Actor: Sam Rockwell
Three Billboards is a top favourite this year and I couldn’t agree more with the results. Frances and Sam make a great duo of seriously troubled people who, at the end, are not as troubled (or even more than before?).

I, Tonya
👩Best Supporting Actress: Allison Janney
I haven’t seen the movie yet but I know how powerful this women is and I cannot wait to see her performance.

The Darkest Hour
💄Best Make Up
👴Best Supporting Actor: Gary Oldman
Even if he’s a tremendous actor, he was up against the best performance of the year by Timotheé Chalamet.

Blade Runner 2049
📽 Best Cinematography 🎞Best Visual Effects
Blade Runner was a breathtaking visual experience, very well deserved awards.

Call me by your name 📖 Best Adapted Screenplay
This is an incredible movie, my top favourite this year and even if I’m really happy for this win I wish it could have won many, many more awards.

Get out
📑Best Original Screenplay
Are you kidding me? No comments.

Dunkirk
🎚Best Sound Editing
🎛Best Sound Mixing
I personally admire Christopher Nolan and his films, but this year there was really splendid movies and the competition was high. Dunkirk power resides on its sound.

Coco
🖌Best Animated Movie 🎤Best Original Song
Very well deserved best animated film, not so much about Best Original song, competing against “This is me” from the greatest showman
